How are LEAP's products different than those of its competitors?

LEAP's pass rates top the charts. LEAP updates products at least once per year and LEAP also produces materials that are specific to the SOCIAL WORK exam. One of the most expensive companies (a LEAP competitor), produces study materials that are for other mental health professional exams and then advertises them for social work and changes the cover page! According to our review, approximately 40% of the information in the multiple volume study guide they sell, is not likely to be covered on the various social work exams (and sometimes impossible as some of the information is not even covered in a Social Work program). Be a careful consumer! We also track our pass rates- for all customers not a favorite select few- and we are pleased to have record success!

I took three months off from studying after failing the first time (did not use LEAP products). I then this passed weekend after listening to the LEAP audio reviewed the LEAP written material for the first time and passed! The audio REALLY made a HUGE difference. I was in a study group for 6 months prior to taking the test the first time. We meet about three times a month. I found one time of listening to the audio more helpful then all my group meetings.

I wanted to write and tell you that I ordered the 6 CD set with the comprehensive study guide and diagnostic guide several months ago. I was preparing for my clinical exam after being out of school for 11 years and only working part-time in the field. I listened to the CD set about four times and read the study guide twice. I also took the practice exams in the back twice. I'm happy to report that I took my clinical exam for the first time on Monday and passed with an 81%! I took and passed the Arizona MSW licensing exam April 2. I attribute a great amount of that success to your study guide with its practice test and your December workshop in Phoenix I attended… When I began preparing for my exam I was mess. Desperate, I ordered a study aid which was two large binders targeted for psychologists and social workers. It only confounded my difficulties. Two additional aids still were of no help. Since, I had 4.0+ grade average, was constantly reminded that my research papers did not have to be comprehensive; I knew my problem was not insufficient knowledge but an inability to condense information and over analyzing questions.

Fortunately, a former classmate told me about your products.  As an older student, there was always that nagging idea that maybe I wasn’t up to it. Your workbook and workshop provided the guidance I needed to dismiss that notion and thereby pass the exam, for which I am very grateful.

In the December workshop I was impressed and appreciated your attentiveness and willingness to help as well as Dr. Delewski’s ability to merge and condense academic and practice knowledge and then present it in a succinct manner.

As promised, I am e-mailing you to report in with my results. I ordered the comprehensive study guide a month ago or so, studied it like crazy, and passed the exam this past Saturday. Just for some background, I graduated with my MSW degree nearly 9 years ago and for a variety of mishaps and life events, I never managed to get my supervision settled to where I could take the exam. So when I finally had it scheduled, I knew I had my work cut out for me in terms of trying to refresh my memory. Your study guide was thorough, up to date in terms of new treatments and medications, and very helpful. It saved me from digging through boxes in my basement on a search for old textbooks. Thank you!

And, in particular, I must mention a special thanks to the gal that I spoke with on the phone on the day that I ordered the study guide. I’m sorry – I don’t recall her name, but she was very helpful in terms of discussing general preparation for taking this exam and understood my concern for being out school for so long. She provided some helpful study tips and it felt like I was talking to an MSW classmate, which was very nice. And in particular, an extra note of thanks to her for actually chasing the postman down the street to ensure that my study guide landed in my mailbox in a timely manner! I am writing this letter of recommendation for the LEAP program that prepares individuals for the Masters level social work exam. Even though I am a new practitioner, with the help from the folks from LEAP, I passed on my first attempt. I found the exam and the preparation requirements for the exam difficult. Therefore, I recommend that anyone attempting to pass obtained the help of professionals. The combination of written materials coupled with their CDs was an excellent resource toward this end. The folks at LEAP not only presented excellent materials, but also were available for personal support and encouragement.
