The preparation class and study materials have been developed by two of LEAP's co-founders: Dr. Jannah Mather and Dr. Sue Middleton.
Dr. Jannah Mather is the Dean of the University of Utah, College of Social Work. Previously, she served six years as Dean of the Faculty of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario, Canada and spent 11 years at the School of Social Work, Florida State University, where she served as Associate Dean and MSW Program Director. Dr. Mather has taught licensing preparation courses for over 20 years.
Dr. Middleton is a faculty at Utah Valley State College. She has also taught at the University of Utah and BYU Hawaii. Dr. Middleton is the 2005 Utah Chapter, NASW Social Worker of the Year. In addition, Dr. Middleton is very active in advocacy for vulnerable populations. She also has been teaching college courses for over 20 years and maintains a clinical practice.
